Just a reminder that we remain under 15% mandatory water use reduction, initiated by the Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District (CTGCD) effective January 1, 2023. The mandatory reductions will remain in place until terminated by the CTGCD. Please continue with your water conservation efforts, especially lawn irrigation. Your efforts are making a difference and are greatly appreciated.
While we have enjoyed cooler weather the recent rains have been too little to recharge our aquafers or change our lake levels. Below are links to the latest Texas drought map, the LCRA River Report and the CTGCD.
This link indicates that all of Burnet County is now in the “Exceptional Drought” status.
