Burnet County road crews are scheduled to begin sealcoating Highland Drive around 7am this Friday morning, August 2nd, 2024.

Please drive slowly through the work zones and pay close attention to the work crews.

This process will require traffic to be stopped and/or re-routed temporarily as the crews work their way from Hwy 1431 all the way into the Nobles Subdivision.  The crews will work a small section of roadway at a time.  This will expedite the process and allow traffic to be directed around the sections under construction.

The sealcoat process requires first laying down liquid asphalt on the existing roadway and then rolling in gravel.  The crews will sweep up the loose material; however, a small amount of gravel may work loose.  Drivers should move slowly through these areas and not follow too close to any vehicles in front of you.

Please pass along this information to any family members, guests or contractors (especially lawn contractors).

Please be patient, the road crews will work as quickly as possible to complete this stage of the project.

Thank You!
