- We need property owners to report to City Hall any home that has water/flood damage. We are compiling a Disaster Summary Outline for the State and need to document all homes that have been damaged. And let us know whether or not your home is covered by flood insurance.
- We need all property owners with property damage (home or waterfront) to complete and return a building permit application along with a preliminary scope of repair work to City Hall. Repairs requiring electrical, plumbing and air conditioning may require a building permit and code inspection. Alvin Kahanek, Highland Haven Building Permit Officer, will review these applications and determine if property owners will be required to get a building permit. Permit applications are available at City Hall or at https://highlandhaventx.com/. Completed forms can be sent back via email or dropped off at City Hall or in City Hall mail box.

Please check on the safety of your neighbors! We have had a number of EMS calls due to accidents during cleanup efforts.

- All resident volunteers are asked to report their work hours. This info is an important part of our disaster report to the State. Betty Ward, Lorinda Peters and Noveleen Parker have been assisting with gathering this info. You can drop off volunteer time sheets to Jeannie Gruetzner at City Hall. Be sure to include your name, work dates and work hours as well as what/where you were working. Also report any materials, food, drink, vehicle mileage or anything else along with the estimated value for such. This includes time and costs associated with evacuation assistance, shelter operations, City Hall assistance, flood coordination meetings, damage review/assessment, homeowner cleanup assistance or anything else associated with the flood event.
