Notice is hereby given that the City of Highland Haven Board of Aldermen will conduct public meetings on September 4, and September 18, 2018 at 7 PM at the Highland Haven Roscoe L. Holt City Hall to receive public comment on the proposed budget for the fiscal year of October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019, and to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for year 2018.  The proposed 2018 tax rate is 0.1172 per $100 of value.  The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in the City of Highland Haven, Texas by 7.91%.  The Board of Aldermen is schedule to adopt the FY19 budget on September 25 and adopt the 2018 tax rate on September 26.

This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $14,827 (9.82%) and of that amount $2,925 is tax revenue to be raise drom new property added to the tax roll this year.
