A number of residents have reported foxes in Highland Haven. Most of the sightings reported have been during daylight hours. According to a number of websites daytime sightings during the spring it is not uncommon since the parent foxes are hunting for small prey and caring for their “kits” (i.e. pups, offspring). According to these websites the main diet for foxes is squirrels, rabbits, mice and insects. Seldom do they try to attack pets.
