2017 – April – Foxes in Highland Haven

A number of residents have reported foxes in Highland Haven.  Most of the sightings reported have been during daylight hours.  According to a number of websites daytime sightings during the spring it is not uncommon since the parent foxes are hunting for small prey and caring for their “kits” (i.e. pups, offspring).  According to these websites the main diet for foxes is squirrels, rabbits, mice and insects.  Seldom do they try to attack pets.  Human contact should be avoided and most human attacks are due to humans trying to feed or handle the fox.  Below are a few websites that have more information.
