The National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio forecast office will be at the Burnet County AgriLife building to conduct Severe Weather and Flood Training. This training takes the place of the formerly titled Sky-warn classes, and will handle the same topics, but also focus on flooding.

The training session will prepare citizens, first responders, emergency management, amateur radio operators, and volunteer organizations for hazardous weather threats specific to Central Texas. These sessions also serve as an opportunity for the public to learn how to assist local forecasters with weather reports during these critical weather events. Public reports are often our most valuable data for warning decisions.  Training sessions are free and open to the general public.  Do NOT miss your opportunity to be an informed helper when dangerous weather appears in your area.
